Welcome to Institute for Rural Advancement or generally shorten to be known as INFRA. INFRA is the primary training institution under the ambit of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (MRRD).

INFRA has a role to train leaders at the grass root level especially the Village Development and Security Committee, Federal Village Development and Security Committee, youths at the rural area and entrepreneurs of home stay.   Besides, INFRA also has conducts research on issues pertaining to rural areas as an effort to improve approach and method in rural management.

Besides organising local courses, INFRA has organises international level training with cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme, Third Country Training Programme, Afro-Asian Rural Development Organisation (AARDO) and collaboration programmes with Commonwealth Secretariat (COMSEC).

The aim of this website is to provide information on training programme and service by INFRA that will benefit to all.

I really hope that the role played through this website will bring rural communities closer to INFRA and to share experiences with the international level communities.   Among the access offered via this website are application forms to the courses can be downloaded, announcement of activities and updates on courses information, research finding, directory of INFRA staff, online complaints or enquiries and suggestions and publications materials.  Lastly, I sincerely hope that INFRA web site will be a one-stop-centre for rural in assisting all towards achieving country development.
